Clark family : papers, 1852-1875.

Collection includes a letter, 1863 Oct. 19, from Camp Hard Tack, Ala., describing the 28th Kentucky Infantry Regiment's march through Tenn. The letter was written by sergeant Milton Cook Clark, who was killed when the steamboat Sultana exploded near Memphis, Tenn., 1865 Mar. 27. Other items include an 1852 Louisville Journal address; a military discharge for Charles G. Clark, a musician in the Union Army; Thomas Hamel's version of the Star Spangled Banner; a carpentry receipt for the building of W.R. Cox's house; and genealogical information taken from the William D. Clark Bible.
